Dynamic Pricing Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is dynamic pricing?

Dynamic pricing means that ticket prices are not fixed, but can change over time depending on demand, i.e. the number of tickets sold. The change in ticket prices is shaped by a sophisticated algorithm. If tickets sell better than expected, prices rise. If they sell less well, prices fall. This makes the price of tickets more in line with their real market value. Dynamic pricing is used nowadays successfully not only by airlines, but also by hotels, cinemas and theatres.

  • Which events and productions are subject to dynamic pricing?

It is the decision of the event organizer whether to apply dynamic pricing to individual performances. Dynamic pricing is always indicated with a prominently placed brief text.

  • How often do ticket prices change?

The time between two price changes can be a few hours or several days. In the case of sudden changes in demand, it can be up to a few minutes.

There is a small chance that the ticket prices will change after the ticket prices have been loaded, and a different price is already in effect when the ticket is placed in the cart or is selected. Once you have placed the tickets in the basket, their price will remain fixed, so you will not have to worry about them changing again, and you will be able to pay the prices displayed on the Cart page.

  • Does dynamic pricing also apply to box office and online ticket purchases?

Yes, the current price of the ticket is the same at the ticket office and online ticket sales.

  • Does dynamic pricing apply to discounted tickets?

Yes. For example, if the student ticket means a 50% discount on the full price ticket, then the 50% ticket price will be determined based on the current price of the full price ticket. So in this case, the price of the student ticket follows the price movement of the full price ticket.

The same applies to discounts with various coupon codes and discount cards.

At the same time, the event organizer can also offer a special discount that has a fixed price and does not move dynamically.

  • How can I get tickets at a cheaper price?

If the production or event you are interested in has performances at different other times, compare the ticket prices, there will probably be cheaper performances among them. Or return to the online store several times, it is possible to find cheap tickets with a little patience.

  • How are booked/reserved tickets affected by dynamic pricing? Can the ticket price change after I have booked/reserved them?

Yes, it can change. When booking, we indicate the current ticket price for information, but you will have to pay for the ticket the price that will be valid when the ticket is purchased. Of course, this can be more or less than the price valid at the time of booking. If you feel the prices are too high, you can cancel your reservation or look for a cheaper show or time.
