Just recently, on 9 January 2015, Gidon Kremer performed the American premiere of the Violin Concerto together with Naples Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Andrey Boreyko in Hayes Hall in Naples.

The violinist Ilya Gringolts and the Vorarlberg Symphony Orchestra introduced the Violin Concerto of Mieczysław Weinberg in the summer of 2013 in Schwarzenberg and at the Bregenz Festival, creating a sensation on both occasions. There followed two CD recordings of this impressive violin concerto: one with violinist Linus Roth and the Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin conducted by Mikhel Kütson (Challenge Classics), which was released in the summer of this year and receive first-class evaluations in the specialist press, as well as a recording with Ilya Gringolts and the Warsaw National Philharmonic under the direction of Jacek Kaspszyk, to be released shortly.
