PREMIER with Ferenc Snétberger

András Keller attempts to bring new compositions closer to audiences using different means. The new series of Concerto Budapest, Premiere, was established for this end and launches in the Liszt Academy this season. At these events, following a symphonic orchestra concert and starting at 10 pm, music-loving audiences can enjoy the premiere of a single work. After each Premiere concert, which is conducted in an atmosphere more relaxed than that traditional experienced at classical music concerts, the audience can get closer to the work and its creator in the framework of an open conversation accompanied by a glass of wine.
We look forward to welcoming you!

Sinti guitarist Ferenc Snétberger (b: 1957), Kossuth and Liszt Prize laureate, ranks among the most exciting figures on the Hungarian music scene today. Hungarian jazz enthusiasts know him for his refined and intellectual playing, which also displays a sensuality and extreme virtuosity. Characteristically of his receptiveness to all genres, he is also fascinated by classical music: for instance, he has performed works by Vivaldi and Rodrigo as well as Luciano Berio’s Sequenza No. 11. A world premiere of one of his new works is performed as part of Concerto Budapest’s late evening Premiere series.
