PREMIER with László Vidovszky

András Keller attempts to bring new compositions closer to audiences using different means. The new series of Concerto Budapest, Premiere, was established for this end and launches in the Liszt Academy this season. At these events, following a symphonic orchestra concert and starting at 10 pm, music-loving audiences can enjoy the premiere of a single work. After each Premiere concert, which is conducted in an atmosphere more relaxed than that traditional experienced at classical music concerts, the audience can get closer to the work and its creator in the framework of an open conversation accompanied by a glass of wine.
We look forward to welcoming you!

László Vidovszky (b: 1944) is a prominent composer in the New Music Studio, who experiments with enormous enthusiasm and in a highly daring manner, in the process pushing the boundaries of the term music. Over the past decades several of his compositions have become iconic works. His musical style is characterized by a unique wryness clearly evident in his pieces composed for the most diverse range of apparatuses and in varied genres. Vidovszky is professor emeritus of the University of Pécs. A world premiere of one of his new works is performed as part of Concerto Budapest’s late evening Premiere series. The programme is open to those with tickets valid for the concert starting at 7.30 pm on 19 February or, naturally, for those holding tickets for the Premiere concert itself.
